Beef in Tamarind Recipe (Resep Daging Asam)

Today we'll share one of favourite recipe from Indonesia, named Beef in Tamarind Recipe or Resep Daging Asam. This cuisine taste fresh and delicious, you should try it your self. Ingredients :

-1 tbsp peanut oil, extra
-750g rump beef, diced
-3 green shallots, sliced
-2 medium red chilies, deseeded and sliced
-1 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
-1 tbsp tamarind concentrate
-1/2-3/4 cup beef stock
-1 eggplant, diced


Paste :

-2 French shallots, chopped
-2 cloves garlic, chopped
-1/2 tsp terasi
-2 tsp peanut oil

How to Cook :

Crush or pound paste ingredients in a mortar with pestle or a food processor. Heat oil in a wok or saucepan. Add beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes or until brown. Add paste and shallots and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Add chilies, kecap manis, tamarind and stock. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add eggplant and cook for a further 5-6 minutes or until beef is tender and sauce has reduced. Stir through green shallots and serve with side bowls of boiled rice.

Serves 4

Indonesian Translation

Bahan:

-1 Sdm minyak kacang, ekstra
Pantat-750g daging sapi, potong dadu
-3 Hijau bawang merah, diiris
Media -2 cabai merah, dibuang bijinya dan iris
-1 Sdm kecap manis (kecap manis)
-1 Sdm asam berkonsentrasi
-1/2-3/4 Cangkir kaldu sapi
-1 Terung, potong dadu


Bumbu :

-Perancis -2 bawang merah, cincang
-2 Siung bawang putih, cincang
-1 / 2 sdt terasi
-2 Sdt minyak kacang

Cara Memasak :

Crush atau sisipkan pon bahan dalam lumpang dengan alu atau food processor. Panaskan minyak dalam wajan atau panci. Tambahkan daging sapi dan tumis selama 3-4 menit atau sampai coklat. Tambahkan pasta dan bawang merah, lalu tumis selama 2-3 menit. Tambahkan cabai, kecap manis, asam dan kaldu. Kecilkan api, tutup dan didihkan selama 10 menit. Tambahkan terong dan masak selama 5-6 menit atau sampai daging sapi lunak dan saus telah dikurangi. Aduk melalui bawang merah hijau dan sajikan dengan mangkuk samping nasi.
